WELCOME
There are a number of reasons why people come to therapy. Often, we reach a point where we feel that we cannot move forward or change. This can lead to feelings of depression, frustration or anxiety.
As a therapist, I am interested in listening to you. Together, we may come to understand how your past has affected your life, how and why you feel stuck in the here and now. Together, we can try to find different ways of thinking and feeling about your life: ways to move forward.
I won’t tell you what to do, but I will work with you to explore your life in an environment where you feel safe and free from judgement, so you can discover what you want for your life and your future. The therapy I provide may help with stress, bereavement, anger management, relationships, loneliness and self-development. I have a lot of experience working with addiction.
I believe that I'm not here to fix anyone, but I believe that I can empower you to find your own answers. That said, I believe I can give you insight into what might be going on for you. I believe that I can sit with your stuckness, your wildness, your sense of overwhelm. I'll be with you, wherever you need to go, or be.
I have a lot of experience working with a broad range of people from all backgrounds, culture and ages. These are some of the main issues that have come up for people who I have worked with:
Addiction, ranging from physical addictions, like alcoholism, through to behavioural ones, such as gambling or sex
Obsessive and compulsive behaviours
Childhood trauma, including family and relationship issues
Depression and Anxiety
Anger management/ Coping with overwhelming emotions
Loss of purpose or belief in life
Poor self-esteem or lack of confidence
Workplace strife
Whatever your issues are, we can work together to work out what will help you to take ownership of, and feel more present, in your life.
